Before World war 2...

World war 1 (simple form [1914-1918]):

June 28, 1914...... POW! Gavrilo Princip shot and killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand! Archduke was the heir of the Austrian throne. After that, the top 5 powerful countries which were the supreme "warriors" on Earth broke into 2 rival groups, called the Allies and the Central Powers. The top 5 were Britain, Germany, Russia, France and Austria-Hungary(just call it Austria). Britain, France and Russia grouped together to become the Allies while Germany and Austria grouped together to become the Central Powers.

World war 1 had begun.

Battles(maybe, but not a must)occured in northern France. Both sides dug deep trenchesto keep themselves from enemy bullets. They also put duckboards to keep them from sinking into the mud. Sometimes, soldiers' feet may get sore. During battles, they would climb out and charge at the enemy on No man's land. Many people died in the terrible battles. Both Allies and the Central Powers tried to make new weapons to win the war. German was the first to use poison gas and U-boats, while the British invented tanks. The disadvantage of the tank was that the tank usually broke down, but the advantage was that it could get through the barbed wire. British soldiers made masks to prevent the poison gas to poison them.

The Germans made series of final attacks but were forced back in the end. The war ended at November 11, 1918 at 11:00am. 2 minutes ago a canadian soldier was killed by a german sniper and died at 10:58am.

After world war 1

After world war one, as the central powers surrendered to the allies should pay for the damage caused in the war. Germans were forced to reduce the size of the navy and army, and were not allowed to have air force. Germany also had to give up large areas of land. Many germans were very upset and blamed the govermant for agreeing to that.

1929-Germany was hit by the great depression

At 1933, a leader called Adolf Hitler became the chancellor of Germany, and Germany was powerful again. Everyone in Germany had better jobs to do and Hitler thought that they were superior to other races. He also believed that the Jews caused Germany the most problems, so many Jewish people were tortured or killed.

In order to get more land, Hitler invaded Poland on 1939. Britain and France came in to help the Polish and 2 days later they declared war on Germany. World war 2 had begun...

In Russia

A tsar called Nicholas was unfair to the citizens so on 1917 he and his family were captured and were killed on 1918, by a machine gun.
